Malaysia International Commodity Conference & Showcase (MICCOS) is the premier event showcasing development in the commodity sector. It is a biennial event that brings together major industry players and entrepreneurs. MICCOS 2009, organised by the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities will be held from 13-16 August 2009 at the Malaysia Agro-Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), Selangor.

The first commodity exhibition known as Commodity Week was held in 2005 at Malaysia International Exhibition and Conventional Centre (MIECC) in Seri Kembangan. Whereas, in 2007, the Commodity Week was rebranded as Malaysia International Commodity Conference & Showcase (MICCOS) held at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur. The showcase has seen the participation of both international visitors and major industry players.
With the theme “Commodity As An industry”, MICCOS 2009 will showcase various products, latest technologies and innovations in the commodity sector that includes palm oil, rubber, timber, cocoa, pepper, tobacco, kenaf, jatropha and sago. The showcase will highlight the participation of major producers, manufacturers and exporters, including agencies responsible for the development and promotion of these commodities.

In conjunction with this showcase, a number of seminars and briefings on technological developments and business opportunities will be held. The public and students are encouraged to attend MICCOS 2009 to gain knowledge and explore opportunities in the commodity sector.
